Description

This seminar covers topics from visual computing, specifically visualization, with a focus on understanding and improving human-computer interaction (HCI). Each student will be assigned a recent paper from the leading conferences for visualization research (IEEE VIS, ACM CHI) to present and write a report on. The specific requirements are different for BSc and MSc students. The topics and formalities will be presented during the kick-off meeting (Wednesday, 23.10. from 11-13 in SR 10, Mathematikon). Advance registration is not required. After the kick-off meeting there will be a poll in Moodle (link and key will be announced in the kick-off meeting), where participants can indicate their interest in the presented topics. The assignment of topics to students will be based on the information from the poll. If there are more interested students than topics, the assignment will be done by random.
